Without relying on God, how could things be? For example, we always prefer to rely on our own ability to work hard for both our study and work, believing that we can create a beautiful future by our own hands and hard work is the only way to success. We mostly analyze and address things based on our experiences, skills, and mind, but at last fail to achieve the result we want, even though we have racked our brains and exhausted ourselves during the whole process, and beyond that sometimes we feel painful and helpless. This is all the more so because we neglect an important truth that we shall depend on and look up to God in all things. When something comes, we don’t cry out to God firstly, but alone rely on ourselves, so we can’t experience the enlightenment or guidance of the Holy Spirit, nor can we gain the inspiration from God or see God’s deed or faithfulness. Thus, our will not grow.
We recommend the following 15 verses about faith and looking up to God, which teach us how to depend on and look upon God. From the verses, we can understand that when we rely on Him, God will promise us and strengthen our faith.
