Romans 12:12- Rejoicing in Hope Patient in Tribulation

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

It can be seen from this verse that as believers in God, we rejoice because we have the hope of entering the heavenly kingdom and gaining eternal life. But on the way to the heavenly kingdom, there will be many tribulations, in which there are God’s good intentions. He wants to perfect our confidence and patience, so that we can bear God’s commission. Thus, when tribulations come upon us, do not be panic, do not analyze or research according to our own brains. As long as we quiet ourselves before God, pray earnestly to Him, obey His orchestrations and arrangements, we can gain His guidance. Perhaps sometimes we cannot feel His guidance, but do not be discouraged, and experience things that come upon us by relying on faith. God will smile at us for our persistent prayers and perseverance.

Take Moses for example. He, who grew up in Egypt palace, was pampered and did things relying on his hot blood. So he could not be used by God, and then God put him in the wild for 40 years to refine him. This was a tribulation to him. However, in such an environment, when he prayed earnestly and obeyed God’s sovereignty and arrangements, he saw many deeds of God, had true faith in God, and no longer depended on his hot blood to do things. His humanity became mature enough to be used by God and undertook His commission. At that time, God called him to guide the Israelites out of Egypt.

Likewise, if we want to be someone after God’s heart, we need to experience all kinds of refinement and trials for the sake of life growth. Do not be afraid of tribulations. As long as we pray constantly to seek God’s will, He’ll certainly guide us to understand His will and the will He wants to achieve in us.
