In the year of our Lord, a male child was born in a manger in a Jewish inn in Bethlehem. Three wise men from the East, guided by a star that had never before been seen, came to the place of the child’s birth. They bowed down to Him in worship. This child was the One promised by God, who would lead and redeem the Israelites from the law.
