The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
– Psalm 119:130
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
God’s word is the light; it gives understanding to the simple. God’s wisdom is inexhaustible and cannot be used up. We must have many experiences in life: When we encounter a tough matter which is without any breakthrough after long study, we rely on God and pray to Him, and then we will be enlightened unconsciously. With this enlightenment, we easily find the solution to this matter, sometimes even beyond our imagination. When we use our hearts to feel, it is not difficult to see that we always solve problems in life unknowingly because of God’s enlightenment. American scientist Thomas Edison got this conclusion after countless failures and experiences: “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.” Albert Einstein said, “Everything within this circle is the known universe. Everything outside the circle is the unknown.” Man’s thinking is limited. The one percent inspiration that we rely on to create something exactly comes from God’s enlightenment. Once God inspires us, we can reap the greatest harvest with the least effort.
Just as God’s words say, “In any given minor matter, if God does not enlighten you, you will never have any inspiration, and without it, you will never be able to break through in this regard. If people simply rely on their human brains, intelligence, and calibers, there will be many things that humanity will be unable to break through in several hundred or even a thousand years. Why can’t they break through? It’s because until the time determined by God, and until God has commenced His work, it is useless, no matter how capable humans might be. You must see through this, right? You must have faith that everything is in God’s hands, and that humans are merely coordinating with Him. If you are sincere, God will see it and He will open up all paths for you, making difficulties no longer difficult. You must be confident in this.”
King Solomon once said a cautionary proverb, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Proverb 9:10). True wisdom comes from God. When we have fear for God in our hearts, depend on God in all things, sincerely worship God and live in God’s presence, unknowingly we will get much enlightenment and blessings which are not available to others, just as God says, “The things God gives to people are boundless; any blessing He gives you, any grace He gives you, is enough to enjoy for a lifetime and cannot be used up.”
