Psalm 34:18 – The LORD Is Near to Them That Are of a Broken Heart

The LORD is near to them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.

– Psalm 34:18

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

From this verse, we see God’s compassion for man and that only God can save us from sufferings. Living under the domain of Satan, man is afflicted and tortured by Satan, feels sorrowful and painful within, and longs for God’s salvation.
In our daily life. Trivial things, work stress, and complex relationships between relatives and friends make us live a tiring and hard life, and often feel annoyed and sorrowful. We live, perforce, in this world and feel helpless and confused in our heart. We don’t know why we live such a painful life. In fact, This is all harm that is done to man by Satan. And only God has mercy on us who are deeply corrupted by Satan. As long as we can repent to God, God will save us from Satan’s bonds and torments, and bring us before Him. I once saw such a passage of words, “The Almighty has mercy on these people who suffer deeply. At the same time, He is fed up with these people who have no consciousness, because He has to wait too long for the answer from humans. He desires to seek, seek your heart and your spirit. He wants to bring you food and water and to awaken you, so you are no longer thirsty, no longer hungry. When you are weary and when you begin to feel the desolation of this world, do not be perplexed, do not cry. Almighty God, the Watcher, will embrace your arrival any time.
