Joshua Relied on God to Attack Jericho. A Commentary on Joshua 6:16

And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, Shout; for the LORD has given you the city.

– Joshua 6:16

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

When Joshua attacked Jericho, he had Jehovah God with him, so he effortlessly did it. This passage of scripture gives me great faith, and makes me see that God is our greatest reliance. In my real life, I’m always used to relying on my minds, caliber and knowledge to do things, yet it often makes me so tired. For I don’t have God’s guidance. So, here I want to share with you this verse, “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower” (Psalms 18:2). It’s clear that by looking to God and relying on God can we gain God’s guidance.
