I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.
– John 14:6
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
From the scriptures, we can surely say God Himself is the truth, the way and the life. So the word expressed by God is the truth. It can supply man according to their actual needs so that they have a path to walk and can receive provision of life. Look back to the Age of Law: After man was corrupted by Satan, they simply had no idea how to lead a life, and even didn’t know how to worship God. Then, Jehovah God issued laws and commandments to guide Israelites to live on earth according to their state at the time. These laws and commandments are the words of truth and the most practical life supply. In the Age of Grace, man had become ever more deeply corrupted. Man failed to keep the law and often sin. If this continued, man should perish under the law. At that time, thecame, and brought man not only the sin offering, but also the new way to practice. He instructed man to confess their sins and repent before the Lord, to be tolerant, patient, and forgive man, and to love others as ourselves and so on. The utterance of the Lord Jesus was what men in the Age of Grace most urgently needed and was men’s life supple. In the last days, how will God guide us through speaking? Hebrews 9:28 says: “So was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin to salvation.” “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). “Before the LORD: for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth” (Psalms 96:13). And thus, in the last days, God comes to utter His voice, He no longer redeemed man from sin. Instead, He judges, purifies and saves man out of the bondage of sin through the word of truth.
