Whatever We Do Should Honor God. A Commentary on 1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

– 1 Corinthians 10:31

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

If we acknowledge that we are numbered among Christians, yet everything we do doesn’t follow God’s will or requirements. As a result, what we do shows that we stand by Satan’s side. Then, we can in no way be deemed glorifying God and shaming Satan. Thus, our faith can’t be approved by God. In order to do things glorifying God, whatever we do, big or small, we should reflect that whether it accords with God’s requirements. If there’s a thing that we shouldn’t do according to God’s requirements, but it involves our own interests, and we ignore God’s requirements and just do it as our will. Perhaps, we will get some interests at last, but we will be a mark of shame to God. On the contrary, when our behaviors accord with God’s requirements, others will see God’s glory through us. Just as the Lord says, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.
