Ephesians 5:15-16 – Walk Circumspectly in the Evil Days

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

– Ephesians 5:15-16

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

In this evil society, every day we will encounter many people, events, and things. But we always forget to seek God’s will because of being busy. Besides, we are dissolute and unrestrained in word and in deed because we don’t have a heart that fears God. Thus we fall into Satan’s temptations, for example, tests of evil lusts, financial tests. As a result, we go against the Lord’s instructions and commit transgressions in front of God. Hence, when things come upon us, we should be cautious of our own footsteps, pray and seek to understand God’s will and demands, ask God to protect us so that we can remain clear-headed, clearly distinguish right from wrong, practice according to God’s demands in everything, and not stray from God’s way.

Just as God’s words say: “Before you say anything, you should think: Would doing this anger God? Is doing this fearing God? Even for simple matters, you should still really try to figure these questions out, really consider them. If you can truly practice according to these principles everywhere, in all things, and all of the time, especially with regard to the matters you don’t understand, then God will always guide you, and will always give you a path to follow.”
